Today we tried this experiment using m&m's and smarties.
First we tried the m&m's with water and the smarties with milk. The smarties didn't change so we tried it with water instead.
We saw lots of bright colours with the m&m's quite quickly. The smarties took a little longer and we realised it wasn't as bright.
Maybe you can try with m&m's and smarties too!!
